Are woodpellets safe for my cat?
They are entirely safe for your pet. The chances of ingesting pellets are very low, but even if she does, your cat will be fine. HVE wood pellet litters are flush-safe. It has a naturally fresh, earthy scent because of its material, which also helps with odor control
Are There Additives in Wood Pellets?
No! HVE Wood pellets are 100% natural. There are absolutely no binders or chemicals added to the wood fiber used to create our pellets.
Does Wood Pellet Cat Litter Clump?
Not at all! Instead of clumping, HVE premium wood pellets decompose into sawdust once they are soaked with urine. This way, the powdered pieces fall to the bottom of the pan while the unsoaked, fresh pellets stay on top. To clean, all you need to do is remove the sifted sawdust at the bottom of the pan and keep the fresh pellets by reverse-scooping.
How many kilograms of Wood Pellets will I need to heat my home?
Customers with an average-sized house will go through 1-2 ton per winter season in South Africa. However this amount can alter depending on the winter climate, size of your home, age of your home, and if you compliment with other heating options as well.
What else can I use wood pellets for?
HVE biomass wood pellets can be used as fuel for electric plants, grills, smokers, outside stoves, homes and other applications in between.
How many kilograms do you provide for industrial use?
These pellets are mostly handled in big bags of 700kg or 1300kg dependent on the requests of the customer. The quality and the price is not the same as that of the premium pellets because these pellets are made in big quantities.
Why should I pay more for premium pellets over cheaper pellets?
While they may cost more initially, HVE premium grade wood pellets produce more heat per ton, so you end up using less overall and your ton lasts much longer. Using less also means less hauling, loading, storing, and clean up. When you burn less, there is less stress on your heating system which lowers your ongoing maintenance costs. And finally, burning less means fewer emissions into our atmosphere.
Where is your sawdust sourced?
We source our sawdust from local sawmills around the Kwazulu-Natal province in South Africa.
Can I buy wood pellets directly from your factory?
Yes if you buy in bulk. At this time, we sell through retailers only. If your local retailer does not carry HVE Eco Premium Pellets, please let us know and we will contact the store. You can also direct them to contact us through our website.
How long does one bag of pellets last?
A 15kg bag of HVE premium pellet fuel can provide up to 24 hours of solid heat. A whole winter’s supply of wood pellets is about 100-150 bags—depending on climatic and lifestyle variations.
